The overall purpose of this blog is to simply offer a biblically informed perspective on current events and social issues facing modern-day, evangelical Christianity. This writing is undergirded by three foundational principles: 1) God’s Word is inerrant and it alone provides the standard by which all Christians must live. 2) Although written throughout a myriad of cultures, the principles of holiness set forth in Scripture transcend cultural leanings. Culture should not drive Christianity; Christianity should drive culture. (This statement is not a polemic against or an apologetic of various evangelistic or worship methodologies, unless clearly unbiblical). 3) The hermeneutical (interpretive) process utilized to apply ancient scriptural injunctions to contemporary living will consistently be Christocentric, while recognizing the necessity of divine illumination by the Holy Spirit at work in each believer.
My hope is that your visit to this blog will challenge and bolster your faith as well as influence your way of thinking about true Christian living. Additionally, I pray you will be blessed and encouraged in your daily walk with Christ. Indeed, He is our “Rock and Fortress” (Ps 31:3).
